This is a procedure to set back a prominent ear. Many a time prominent ears are a source of embarrasment.This operation is usully done under local anaesthesia with sedation but in children it could be done under anaethesia. The incision is made behind the ear and the underlying offending cartilage is softened , pulled back and sutured. If there is excess skin then this is removed. The results are usually gratifying.
